Biography

I'm a lawyer and writer based in St. Louis. My professional stats reside at the website for my law firm, Schaeffer & Lamere, P.C. I'm the author of Deposition Checklists & Strategies (James Publishing 2006). I've also published numerous Op-Eds in newspapers like the Chicago Tribune, the Houston Chronicle, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Many of these are reprinted at Schaeffer & Lamere (law-related and non-law-related). I also write the The Illinois Trial Practice Weblog, which together with The Legal Underground has received notice in many print publications, including the New York Times and the Economist. My most notable fiction publication to date was in the literary journal Artful Dodge, which can also be found online; other examples of my fiction can be found at Legal Undergound.
